Rebecca Heath

Rebecca Heath– Editor-in-Chief (Since fall 2022)

Rebecca Heath is a senior at The College of New Jersey majoring in psychology and communication studies with a minor in professional writing. She is from Eatontown, NJ. As a Bonner Community Scholar and editor-in-chief of The Streetlight Newspaper, Rebecca is passionate about amplifying the voices of individuals in the Mercer County Community who have experienced homelessness. Through her articles and social media posts, she hopes to raise awareness and break down stigmas surrounding homelessness and food insecurity. Rebecca is proud of her team’s efforts and hopes to expand The Streetlight’s reach and impact this year. Outside of The Streetlight, Rebecca serves as the social media intern for TCNJ’s Bonner program as well as an editor for the College’s official, student-run newspaper, The Signal. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach, traveling and watching movies.

Tori Duym

Tori Duym – Social Media Editor

Tori Duym is a junior Bonner Scholar at TCNJ. She is from Tuckerton, New Jersey and she studies Secondary Education and English. She serves as the Social Media Editor and Writer for The Streetlight. She is passionate about raising awareness about resources available to those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in order to improve the quality of life of countless individuals in Mercer County. Community building and involvement are very important to her and she is very excited to build more connections this year. In her spare time, she dances with Synergy Dance Company, works as a TCNJ ambassador, and spends time with her friends and family. She is looking forward to an impactful year!

Alexus Twyman

Alexus Twuyman –  Editor

Alexus Twyman is a sophomore Bonner Community Scholar at The College of New Jersey studying Communication Studies. She is from Blairstown, New Jersey and works as a writer and editor for The Streetlight Newspaper. Alexus is passionate about allowing others to share their unique stories and is looking forward to gaining more experience and knowledge working for The Streetlight Newspaper. She is most excited this semester to connect with community members and share their experiences with a larger audience. In her spare time, Alexus often likes to make bracelets and crochet.

Tanzim Didar

Tanzim Didar –  Editor

Tanzim Didar is sophomore Biomedical Engineering student and Bonner Community Scholar at The College of New Jersey. She is from Westampton, NJ and serves as a Streetlight writer. She is most excited to start writing for a change and a new beginning. In her free time, she loves to read and cook!

Mika’il Malik

Mika’il Malik –  Editor

Mika’il Malik is a freshman at The College of New Jersey, majoring in Biology. He is from Princeton, NJ, and is a graduate of the West Windsor-Plainsboro School district. He is a writer for the Streetlight and is passionate about bringing topics related to social justice to light and allowing people to share their stories. Mika’il in his free time enjoys painting, playing video games, and spending time with his family.

James Kerr

James Kerr –  Editor

James Kerr is a freshman at The College of New Jersey and is majoring in political science. He is a Bonner Community Scholar from Columbus, New Jersey, who volunteers at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and writes for The Streetlight. James wants to pursue a career in community service and helping others in his community. He is passionate about understanding people’s issues and wanting to help solve them, especially in the local Trenton area and his hometown of Columbus. In his spare time, James likes bodybuilding, playing video games, and watching New York sports, his favorite being the New York Giants. James also works at Chick-fil-A and has been there for two years. Over the summer, he was promoted to Team Leader. He looks forward to engaging in his community and working alongside his classmates!

Giada Schwam

Giada Schwam –  Editor

Giada Schwam is a freshman at The College of New Jersey majoring in Journalism with a minor in Creative Writing. She is from Monroe, NJ and a Bonner Community Scholar at TCNJ. Giada is looking forward to writing for the Streetlight and serving patrons at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen for Bonner volunteering. Outside of Bonner, Giada writes for the College’s newspaper, The Signal, and plans to participate in environmental cleanups with the College’s Environmental Club. Creating a more sustainable future for the environment and the community as well as helping those in need are Giada’s passions. In her free time, she likes to read fantasy romance novels, watch movies, and hang out with her family and friends. She is looking forward to a year of new opportunities and experiences with the TCNJ community!
