Bonner Pronounced: “Baw-ner”

A TCNJ Bonner Scholar or TCNJ Bonner is a student that represents the Bonner Community Scholars Program.  A TCNJ Bonner’s goal is to provide a community-driven way to promote and bring about awareness to social justice issues and community-identified needs that may arise.

What is the TCNJ Bonner Program?

The College of New Jersey  (TCNJ) Bonner Community Scholars Program helps students attend The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) through community service. It pushes students to be actively involved in community service while enhancing their own skills and promoting positive change.

What Role Does Bonner Have With The Streetlight?

The Streetlight, as our readers know, aims to raise awareness and break stereotypes for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Mercer County, New Jersey.  The Bonner Program charges its members in the program to assist and run The Streetlight. Thus, most of our staff are also affiliated with the Bonner Program at The College of New Jersey. With that in mind, The Streetlight will always print and publish the values it has always upheld unless otherwise stated.
